“I have a lifetime of experience in advertising as an art director, with all that entails in blending skills in print, radio and television advertising creation, corporate films, writing and production. Underneath, and for myself, I always wrote and painted. The continuing desire to express without a commercial imperative pushed me towards the story telling arts which prompted a career shift in the mid 2000’s. It is an interesting and rocky road, as only those who have trod it can know.”
Mick’s first collaboration with the ACO was as writer/director of alternative surfing documentary Musica Surfica – awarded best feature at the New York Surf Film Festival, amongst others.
