Two weeks of collaborations in Carnarvon and the Ningaloo Coast have produced amazing results for the local community and for the Tour program now only 5 weeks away. The Residency featured an expansive performance at the Camel Lane Theatre by student workshop participants presenting their new work under the guidance of Gillian Howell. A week later musicians, filmmakers, surfers and composers presented a celebration of the Ningaloo collaborations with a Gnaraloo Station Shearing Shed concert that brought the house ( or shed ) down. All of this though a magical foil to the behind the scenes alchemy that was creating the wonder that will be The Reef. Tura and ACO gratefully thank the community of Carnarvon and all at Gnaraloo Station for supporting this wonderful endeavour.
The Reef Residency in Carnarvon and Ganraloo has started with performers, composers, filmmakers and surfers descending on the Gascoyne region of Western Australia to create the new multi media work for the upcoming Reef Tour.
